Games Cancelled
All GI Legion Baseball Games for tonight are cancelled. Five Points vs Kearney Post #52 scheduled for tonight in Grand Island is cancelled with no make up date announced. Wells Fargo & Home Federal vs Kearney Knights scheduled for tonight in Kearney is cancelled with no make up date announced. Home Federal will practice tonight at 7:30pm.
Five Points Game vs Kearney Post 52 Cancelled
The Five Points/Kearney Post 52 game has been cancelled and no make up date has been scheduled at this time.
Home Federal Advanced Skills Camp
The Home Federal Advanced Skills Camp is set for May 26th - May 28th. The camp will be from 8:15am - 10:00am each day. Registrations are being accepted on Tuesday, May 26th. If you have not registered yet, please arrive early so that we can get ou registered and start the camp on time.
Team Pictures
Team Pictures are set for today, May 24th. Five Points will take team photos at 2:30, Wells Fargo at 4:30 & Home Federal at 5pm. Come dressed in full uniform for team photos. Opening Night Ceremonies to follow between games.
Home Federal Baseball Clinic
The Home Federal Baseball Clinic is set for this Saturday, May 23rd, at Ryder Park. The clinic will go from 8:30-11:30 with registration and check-in at 8am. Early registration is $20 & $25 the day of; the registration forms can be picked up at Pro Team Design, Inc., @ 2716 Old Fair Road. The Home Federal Coaching Staff & Players will give instruction on fielding, throwing & hitting.
Home Federal Will Play on Opening Night
Home Federal will play McCook on Sunday, May 24th @ 7pm. The opening night ceremonies will go on as scheduled.
Parents Meeting
There is a Grand Island Legion Baseball parent meeting on Monday, May 18th, at 7pm. The meeting is in the cafeteria and GICC. Home Federal will have a short parent meeting for team members only at 6:30pm in Coach Gavers' room. Enter through the main doors and take a right. Please have your birth certificates & player fees available at this time. If you are a returning Home Federal player, I have your birth certificates. Thanks.
Five Points Roster

Junior Legion Cuts
Rosters will be set for Wells Fargo on both this website and at Ryder Park either Thursday night or Friday morning. The Five Points team may wait an extra day to have an extended tryout for those remaining players on Friday. The players will be notified by the conclusion of Thursday's tryout.
Opening Night Ceremonies
The Grand Island American Legion Baseball Program has set opening night cermonies for Sunday, May 24th. Five Points and Chief Industries will play McCook for the season opener. Five Points will play at 4pm and Chief will follow at 7pm.
Senior Tryouts Announced
Grand Island American Legion Senior Trouts have been set for Tuesday, May 12th & Thursday, May 14th, from 6:30-8:30pm. Anybody interested in trying out for the two Senior teams, Home Federal or Chief Industries, needs to attend these tryout sessions. Junior tryouts will continue on Tuesday, May 12th through Thursday, May 14th from 5-7pm.
Chief Schedule Changes
Due to Hastings dropping their 2nd Seniors team, Chief Industries games on June 9 at Hastings and June 24 in GI are canceled. The Five-Points Juniors games on those dates are currently still on as scheduled. Also, on Monday June 8, Chief Industries will play a single home game against Harvard-Giltner at 7:00pm. A game in Giltner may be scheduled later.
